When I was a kid and I got sick my mom used to buy me Mad Magazine to cheer me up. That was a very long time ago. What I remember about Mad Magazine was the cover captioned, “What, Me Worry?”
Such a pointless and disempowering sentiment–worry is. Muscle testing shows that worry not only weakens the person doing the worrying but also the person about whom you exzpress that concern. Yeesh!
When my son was 16 and noticed me worrying about something he told me, “Mom, why do you worry? If you can do something than do it. If not worry doesn’t help.” His words changed my life in that moment.
