Psychotherapy–when it can help and when it can’t

I have a soapbox about therapists who see a client longer than 3 months as it means the client is not ready to change and you waste the person’s time and money in that case–except when the client really only needs a listening ear.

Listening ears do NOT listen to the same story more than twice. Doing so only serves to keep the person stuck, slipping deeper and deeper into the quicksand with every telling. And there is more to why I never do talk therapy besides the fact that the way I now work goers deeper, faster and lasts–all without ever trying to get info from the conscious mind which has no clue what is going on in the subconscious mind.

Confused? You won’t be after listening to these details…

  1. Is Cinch an audio player? Unfortunately my audio isn’t working right now, so video and audio don’t work… but I would love to hear your insights.

In the interim – the work you do is significant. Thank you for doing it!

    Visiting you via UBC!

I am sorry you cannot get audio or video right now, Julie. Cinch is a generic audio player. Have you checked your flash player or real player or or quicktime whatever program plays your audio and video? Sometimes that is all you need to do–get something that is not turned on turned on or updated.
Thank you for your support and for joining the conversation.
