Not All Cats and Dogs Are Created Equal

Now what could What could that title possible mean, Not All Cats And Dogs Are Created Equal? If you ever had a special pet, one who appeared to be more like a human in a cat or dog suit, then you know exactly what I mean.

A cat adopted me very many years ago. Samantha was such an extraordinary Spirit. I wrote a children’s book about her and who she really was – not just a cat, indeed!

After I lost Samantha to Feline Leukemia, two brother cats chose me to take them home from a cat adoption day. They literally reached out their little paws to me.
I can write whole articles about how special one of them, Oreo, was (and still is in his Spirit form) while the other was clearly just a cute cuddly cat.

If you would like a copy of the ebook I wrote to help me through Oreo’s transition click here. It’s free and may help you or someone you know deal with a pending or past loss of a dear animal companion.

Why tell you all this?

This video is ostensibly funny—27,000 “likes” funny. Frankly, I think this bulldog is one of those dogs in a dog suit. Come on. Do dogs ever sit like that – and watch TV?

Enjoy. And do consider the possibility of who your cat or dog may be. There are no accidents. Your pet is YOUR pet for a reason—probably many reasons. Learn from each other.

Thanks for coing by. Tor. Ye I thought it o interzting we both shared something so very similar. I used to do that when doing my ministry and teaching–cover the exact same topic as one of my colleagues each week–without either of us knowing what the other was talking about.Anyay, keep loving your kitties and they will congtinue to bring joy–but you already know that!

This is hilarious, Ali! Our new kitty chose me as well. I never liked cats until one day I was driving down the road and saw a “Free Kittens” sign and it was actually glowing and sparkling. Well, you can’t ignore that! I did a quick u-turn and got the last kitten and a cat the lady did not like because he “meowed too much.” They changed everything (negative) I ever thought about cats. The meowy one died after a year-and-a-half – he’s buried in our yard.

Several months later I went to PetCo and a bunch of people were trying to pet a kitten through the cage. She was huddled against the back wall and wouldn’t let anyone touch her. When I walked over she came to the front of the cage and reached her paw out to me. She chose me, so my husband had no choice but to bring her home. 🙂

Now we have 2 cats (again) and 2 dogs, and everyone gets along beautifully. You can’t ask for more than that. Now, my dog is telling me it’s time to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. I had better listen. 🙂

Fantastic, story! Thanks for sharing the details.
When our first czme to us i was a dog person I thought cat peopl were just plain weird. She changed all that for me. Of course my cats were so exrraordinay! They arw so spiritual. When my mom was making her transition in Hospice, my cat, Oreo, told me to hurry up and get to the hospice place. I walked in just after she “left.” fore then I wold watch him, his brother and my Mom all look at some entity I could not ee–clearly all 3 of the did. It was someone who had comw to help her cross over.
I love cats! they tell us so mu h about who we are. What Oreo did for me the last 4 years of his life–beyond imagination. that is part of his being my guide–in the ebook I mentioned in the post.
      Enjoy your pets totally!
